Included in Emily Ardoin’s 2014 thesis “Fais do-do to ‘Hippy Ti-Yo’: Dance Halls of South Louisiana”: The Clifton Chenier Club is located in a rural area outside of the center of Loureauville. It was opened in the 1970s and continues to be open today for special occassions and rentals. The construction is metal, the roof has a front gable, the foundation is a concrete slab, and the dance floor is made of acoustic tile.”
