Breaux Bridge highway: Owner was Norris Breaux. It burned.
Bobby & Marella Caffey & Eldine & Ernest (Ben) Benoit: “I remember that a man was shot and killed in the bathroom the night it opened.”
Dorothy Meriwether’s brother owned it at one time: Bingo then dancing.

  1. Can some one tell me more about this club ? My grandfather was Norris Breaux . His son Dale ( deaf ) was my father . I have been interested in their past but no one around to tell the stories of the Midway Club when it was owned by my grandfather .

    • I was 13 years of age when I had a ball dancing to Belton Richard and Aldus Roger. My mother and father were best friends with your Grandfather. Your Grandfather always made sure everyone had a good time at the Midway Club. I has my traditional wedding dance there at the Midway Club 53 years ago. Many fond memories were created at the Midway Club.
