Mentioned in the New Iberia book, chapter by Louis Paul Bryant: corner of Julia & Hacker Streets; sometimes rented foor private affairs, but generally held a dance every Saturday and Sunday night. The band was a trio: Joe LeBlanc on fiddle, and another fiddle and accordionist. They played on a bandstand fashioned from the frame of an old four post bed with a canopy. The mattresses were removed and replaced with a wooden deck. Food was distributed: gumbo, coffee, & anisette.
