Owner was a Mr. Seaux- similar to the Hollywood in Rayne- sophisticated club and crowd, but lots of fights- only one door in or out. On Hwy 14 west of town- Johnnie Allan played there in 1953. DL Menard played there regularly with Badeaux and the Louisiana Aces.

From information at the Kaplan Museum:

“The Reno Club: Located on the corner of Highway 14 and 13, this club played music on Wednesday and Saturdays. The owner was ‘Dah-Dou’ Seaux. It was attended mostly by older people. French music was the most popular, but country and Western was performed also.”
